PORTRAITURE

Capturing a moment in time

I have started to create portraits in my abstract painting style alongside my previous more traditional approach. My abstract work offers something more contemporary which captures a fleeting moment in time.

Portraits can be done in pencil, charcoal, oil or (as with my abstract work) mixed media.

I have been creating portraits for people since I was 16 years old. My main goal is always to capture the character of the person or animal in my work.

A passion for Wildlife

My work reflects a deep connection to nature and a commitment to conservation. I have been lucky enough to win awards for my wildlife paintings and am a massive advocate for using art to help raise awareness and funds for endangered species.

Over the past two decades, I have taken part in group exhibitions to help support wildlife organisations and have put on two solo shows raising funds for: AfriCat, Namibia; No Extinction, Brazil and The Fernan Gorilla Project, Gabon.
